The Queens Birthday long weekend is well know for a number of different reasons. One reason is that its the Queens Birthday!!!
Another reason is that its the opening weekend of the Australian snow season, now since i have been into the snow for quite a few years now this long weekend is very close to my heart. It's a time to look back over the previous years opening weekends and remember how loose your got, and this year did not disappoint!! TRUST ME... I had to go lay down at 6.30pm before the night even got started.
Now that its Monday and im thinking about last weekend i'm remembering all this stuff... We got a flat tyre and the way to Buller! And once we finally made it they charged us $49.50 to get in the gate!!! Now this $49.50 is just to get onto the mountain, it includes no special treatment or anything ...... OUTRAGE!!!
After spending seasons overseas where there is no gate entry and you can just drive around and do whatevers and people are friendly... you get the feeling that Buller is lame ass...
Like the bus driver at Buller, its the same guy every year, you get on the bus and your like "hey man" and he just looks at you with this evil angry stare, kinda makes you feel bad for catching the bus... Come on man, if its really that bad just quit...
